Congratulations to our East-Central KMEA All-District Musicians on a fantastic day of rehearsals and performances! Also a big thank-you to the SME Blue Knights who performed a great set of holiday music for the Prairie Village Mayor’s annual Holiday party Saturday night.
Pit Orchestra Rehearsals this week:
- Tuesday & Thursday 2:50-5pm, band room
Basketball Pep Band This Week:
- Tuesday, December 10 — Call time 6pm
- Friday, December 13 — Call time TBA (depends on tournament results)
- Blue SME Band shirts are mandatory!
Basketball Concessions
- One of our top fundraising opportunities for the band. The SME Band Boosters and students run the concession stands for all home basketball games. It is a great way to help the band earn money and socialize with the SME community!

Band Holiday Concert & 5th Annual Holiday Sweater Jamboree Wednesday 12/11, 7pm SME Auditorium
- Call time: 6:30pm
- Program order: Blue Notes, Blue Knights, Combined Marching & Cadet Band
- Students may dress up in “Ugly Holiday Sweaters”, Holiday attire, accessories, etc.
- Attire may be fun and creative but not detract from the musical performance (no large hats, flashing lights, etc)
- Special prize for the top-dressed student!
